A Silver Bug original. A beautiful natural aventurine cabochon loaded with sparkles set in sterling silver. The cabochon has beautiful emerald green bands of color and is cut in a wonderful cartouche shape. In the right light it glitters. It’s an open back design because the stone is polished and finished on the reverse. Aventurine is a variety of translucent quartz with abundant small plate-shaped inclusions. Light entering the quartz strikes these very tiny inclusions and reflects off of them. This produces a subtle sparkly appearance known as “aventurescence”.
